On May 7, 2025, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation held a live conversation on how we can reimagine our tax system to better support all children and families. The discussion was hosted by Parita Patel, senior program officer in RWJF’s Healthy Children and Families portfolio.
She was joined by Portia Allen-Kyle, interim executive director of Color Of Change, and Jeremie Greer, co-founder and co-executive director of Liberation in a Generation. During the conversation, the panelists explored the ways our current tax structures impact families, particularly those who have been historically excluded, and highlighted promising changes and strategies to advance meaningful reform.
