On March 17, 2025, the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation held a live conversation on the challenges faced by caregivers with immigrant experience and their aspirations for change. The discussion was led by Parita Patel, senior program officer in RWJF’s Healthy Children and Families portfolio.
She was joined by Adriana Cadena, director of the Protecting Immigrant Families Coalition, and Henny Ohr, executive director of Refugee and Immigrant Voices in Action. During the conversation, the panelists explored the systemic barriers caregivers navigate, highlighted potential solutions and opportunities, and discussed ways to deepen our collective understanding of how to better support intergenerational families, particularly those with immigrant experience.
